How Utah tax sales work

Utah has no investor lien: the county (or another government office) sells the property itself, and the buyer generally takes title once the sale is final, subject to the state's rules on confirmation and any remaining redemption rights.

How the auction is won: Highest bid or smallest portion. Redemption period: Until the May/June tax sale (4+ years).
